The complete guide to JPG to PDF Converter

Last updated June 1, 2026

Converting JPG photos to PDF is how most people turn phone-captured documents — receipts, ID cards, handwritten notes, whiteboards — into portable, professional files. Convertify's JPG to PDF tool lets you upload multiple JPGs at once, drag to set the order, and produce a single multi-page PDF without any upload, any watermark, or any daily limit.

Most JPG-to-PDF tools online handle one image at a time. Convertify batches them: drop 30 receipts, reorder by date, convert — and you get one consolidated PDF for expense submission or archiving. The quality is preserved at the original JPG resolution, which for modern phone cameras (12–48 MP) is typically 200–400 DPI on a standard letter page — more than adequate for printing or submission to government portals.

If your photos are HEIC (iPhone Live Photos) rather than JPG, use the HEIC to JPG tool first, or upload directly — Convertify will auto-convert them in the same workflow.

Step-by-step: how to use JPG to PDF Converter

  1. 1

    Upload your JPG images

Drag and drop one or many JPGs (or HEICs) onto the upload zone. All images load with thumbnail previews immediately.

  2. 2

    Set the page order

Drag thumbnails to reorder. For expense reports: sort by date. For documents: arrange in logical sequence. The top thumbnail becomes page 1.

  3. 3

    Click Convert

PDF-Lib creates a new PDF with one page per image, sized to each image's natural dimensions. All processing happens in your browser.

  4. 4

    Download the PDF

The multi-page PDF downloads without a watermark, at the full original image quality.

Real-world scenarios

Phone-scanned documents for government portals

Visa applications, tax forms, and university admissions all require PDFs. If you photographed your passport, bank statement, or degree certificate with a phone camera, JPG to PDF converts those shots into a submission-ready file. If the file is too large afterwards, run through Compress PDF to hit the portal's size limit.

Expense reports from paper receipts

Take a batch of receipt photos over a business trip, upload them all at once, sort by date, and convert. HR and accounting teams prefer one PDF per trip over a folder of 20 JPG attachments.

Real estate documentation

Agents photographing property condition reports, lease agreements, or inspection checklists with their phone get a proper PDF ready for client delivery or record-keeping — no scanner needed.

Classroom assignments with handwritten work

Students submitting handwritten homework photograph each page, upload to JPG to PDF, and get a multi-page submission PDF. The in-browser processing means it works on school Chromebooks and tablets without any installed app.

Troubleshooting and edge cases

My PDF is very large — the JPGs were high resolution.

JPG to PDF embeds your images at original quality. If you need a smaller file, run the resulting PDF through Compress PDF to reduce it. Typical smartphone photos compress well to under 500 KB per page at document-quality settings.

Some photos are sideways or upside down.

Phones sometimes encode rotation in EXIF metadata rather than rotating the actual pixels. If images appear rotated in the PDF, use the Rotate PDF tool afterwards to correct any sideways pages.

One of my images won't upload.

The most common cause is a file saved with a .jpg extension but actually in HEIC or WebP format internally. Re-export from your phone or camera app as JPEG, or run through the HEIC to JPG converter first.

I want all pages to be the same size (A4) even if images have different dimensions.

Currently Convertify sizes each PDF page to the source image. For uniform A4 pages, resize all images to the same dimensions with the Resize Image tool first, then convert.
